Exfoliating the hands is a must do for your beauty routine. Exfoliating doesn’t only feel good, it offers some awesome benefits as well. It helps loosen and scale away dead skin cells, leaving you with glowing radiant skin. It also aids in blood circulation, helping to minimize fine lines, wrinkles and scaly skin. Now I don’t know about you, but for some reason, I often forget to exfoliate my hands when I’m in the shower. There just seems to be so much going on in there! I’m washing hair, shaving, body exfoliating, cleansing…it’s just so easy to forget, I also skip my feet sometimes too. For this reason, I often schedule some time about twice a month to focus solely on my hands and feet and give them the long pampering they deserve. This honey lemon hand scrub can be used on the feet as well, however if you want a more refreshing scrub for your feet, try the Coco Mint Foot Scrub Recipe.
Honey Lemon Hand Scrub
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 tablespoon sea salt
1 tablespoon organic sunflower oil
1 teaspoon raw honey
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions:
In a small bowl or container, combine baking soda and sea salt. Add in sunflower oil, honey and lemon, mix well until a grainy paste forms. If the mixture is too dry, add more sunflower oil until desired consistency is reached. If too wet, add a bit more salt.
To use, apply paste to hands and rub together like you’re washing your hands for 1-2 minutes. Be sure to apply well between each finger, back of hands and palms, and massage into nail beds. Rinse well with warm water, pat dry then apply your favorite moisturizer or body jelly. For an all natural soothing DIY jelly recipe click here.
